Why these two get compared
Numeric (founded 2020 ) and Yoraito sit in the same part of the market: mid-market finance teams that have outgrown spreadsheets but don't want an enterprise implementation. Both leave your general ledger in place. Both use AI. People who research FloQast often look at Numeric next, and teams evaluating Numeric often find us through the same searches.
The difference is in where each product puts its weight.
The one-line difference
Numeric helps your team run and report the close. Yoraito makes every number in it rerunnable.

Where Numeric is strong
- A clean, modern close workspace.
- Reporting and flux workflows designed for controllers.
- Deep NetSuite know-how; its NetSuite MCP article is one of the clearer public explanations of how AI connects to the ERP.
- Momentum: Numeric raised a Series B and has been expanding scope.
Where Yoraito is different
The number and its query travel together
Drill-down shows the transactions behind a total. A saved query shows the logic that selected them: which accounts, which dates, which filters, which matching rule. That logic is what an auditor needs to reperform the number. In Yoraito, every reported figure carries its SQL, and running it again on the same data returns the same result.
Judgment is labelled
Each AI-drafted explanation is labelled by how well it's supported: backed by a document or data row, suggested by a pattern, or needing an owner. Reviewers know where to spend their time.
Built for teams that answer to someone else
PE-backed companies answer to sponsors and lenders; CPA firms answer to clients and their auditors. Yoraito's evidence standard is designed for that second reader.
More systems, one method
If your clients or entities run different GLs, Yoraito applies the same close method across 22 named systems.
How to choose
| If your priority is… | Lean toward |
|---|---|
| A polished close workspace and reporting on NetSuite | Numeric |
| Rerunnable evidence for auditors, sponsors or diligence | Yoraito |
| Running the same close across clients on different GLs | Yoraito |
| Software plus hands-on help running the close | Yoraito (Assisted Close) |
| A vendor expanding into a broad finance platform | Numeric |
Run a fair test
Give both vendors the same month of real data: one bank account, the AR and AP subledgers and a trial balance. Then ask each to show you:
- The bank reconciliation, tied to $0.00, with every reconciling item explained.
- A flux explanation for your largest variance, with the transactions behind it.
- How your auditor would reproduce one number from each, without the vendor in the room.
The third question usually decides it.
One reconciliation, two ways of checking it
Here's the same prepaid expense reconciliation as a reviewer would check it in each approach. Figures are illustrative.
Drill-down approach. The reviewer sees the prepaid account balance of $219,950.00, the schedule balance of $212,450.00 and a $7,500.00 difference. They click into the GL transactions for the month and scan for the cause. They find a software prepayment and an expired insurance policy, write a note and sign. If the auditor asks later how the $212,450.00 schedule balance was produced, the reviewer goes back to the schedule spreadsheet.
Query approach (Yoraito). The reconciliation shows the same balances, each with a query ID. Q06 rebuilds the expected closing balance from the schedule, item by item. Q08 lists items past their end date that still carry a balance ($4,500.00, insurance). Q09 lists GL additions missing from the schedule ($3,000.00, software). Q10 returns the unexplained difference: $0.00. The reviewer reads the queries, checks the two items and signs. The auditor reruns Q06 to Q10 on the same files and gets the same answers.
Both approaches let a reviewer find the answer. Only one hands the auditor a way to reproduce it.
A month in each product
| Close stage | Typical Numeric workflow | Yoraito workflow |
|---|---|---|
| BD1: cut-off | Task list for the close; team records accruals | Accrual candidates found from AP history; team approves |
| BD2–BD3: reconciliations | Reconciliations prepared and attached in the workspace | Matching and tie-outs run with saved SQL; leftovers classified |
| BD4: flux | Flux workflow with commentary | Driver transactions found by query; AI drafts labelled notes |
| BD5: review | Reviewer sign-off per task | Reviewer checks evidence and labels; signs |
| BD6+: reporting | Reporting in the product | Packs built from the locked trial balance |
The calendars look similar. The difference shows up in review time, and in audit fieldwork.
Questions to put to both vendors in a demo
- Show me one bank reconciliation for last month on my data. How did each line match?
- Show me the flux explanation for my largest variance. Which transactions does it cite?
- If I disagree with an AI-drafted explanation, what happens to the label and the audit trail?
- What can your product write to in NetSuite, and under which role?
- If my auditor wanted to reproduce your reconciliation total without your product, what would I send them?
- What will my team do differently in the first close, and on which business day?
Switching between the two
Both keep your ERP, so switching is mostly about reconciliation templates, checklists and history. Plan a parallel month: run the close in both, compare reconciled balances and review time, then cut over. Keep the previous tool's evidence available until the next audit is complete.
