How does Yoraito work with QuickBooks?
Short answer: Yoraito connects to your QuickBooks company through Intuit's OAuth consent screen (OAuth 2.0 with PKCE, scope limited to finance data). It pulls the trial balance, chart of accounts, customers, vendors, transactions and bank and card accounts, runs your close as SQL and posts approved journal entries back with read-back validation.
What syncs between QuickBooks and Yoraito?
| Direction | Data |
|---|---|
| QuickBooks → Yoraito | Live trial balance, chart of accounts, customers, vendors, transactions, bank and credit card accounts |
| Yoraito → QuickBooks | Approved journal entries and formatted financial statements, with read-back validation |
| Reports | GAAP-formatted Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flow |
Supported editions: QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks Desktop is listed on the integrations page.
Why would a QuickBooks company need more than QuickBooks reconciliation?
Short answer: QuickBooks reconciles bank and card accounts. A company with a controller, an auditor or investors also needs every balance sheet account reconciled, accruals, explained variances, separate preparer and reviewer, and evidence an auditor can rerun. Yoraito adds that close on top of QuickBooks without moving off it.
| QuickBooks reconcile tool | Yoraito on QuickBooks | |
|---|---|---|
| Bank and card | Tick-and-match per account | Written matching rules in passes; tie-out to $0.00 with query IDs |
| Other balance sheet accounts | Not covered | Tie-outs and rollforwards (prepaids, accruals, AR, AP, debt) |
| Accruals | Manual journal entries | Candidates from vendor history; approved entries post back |
| Review | Single user can reconcile and approve | Preparer and reviewer recorded separately |
| Audit evidence | Reconciliation reports | Query, inputs, result and signer for every figure |
