Rillet Alternatives for PE-Backed Finance Teams
Rillet is an AI-native ERP. Compare its alternatives on the facts: ledgers like Campfire, DualEntry, Digits, NetSuite and Sage Intacct, or close tools like FloQast, Numeric and BlackLine that keep your GL.

Most lists of Rillet alternatives compare one ledger with another. For a PE-backed finance team, the first question comes earlier: do you need a new general ledger at all, or a better way to close and prove the numbers on the one you already have?
TL;DR: Rillet is an AI-native ERP, so its direct alternatives are other ledgers: Campfire, DualEntry, Digits, NetSuite and Sage Intacct. If your ledger is fine and the close is the problem, compare close tools that sit on top of it: FloQast, Numeric and BlackLine. For PE-backed teams, weight audit evidence and migration timing above features.
What is Rillet, in its own words?
Rillet describes itself as "the AI-native ERP (enterprise resource planning) platform for modern finance teams." In August 2026 it announced a $100 million Series C led by ICONIQ at a $1 billion valuation, bringing total funding to more than $200 million, and said it serves more than 600 customers (Business Wire). The same release says its AI agents work in the ledger with "a complete audit trail, and human approval where necessary." When it raised a $70 million Series B in August 2025, co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and ICONIQ, it called the product "a full replacement for legacy ERPs" (FinTech Futures).
Rillet's own comparison page lists the general ledger, close, AR and AP, revenue recognition and reporting, multi-entity and multi-currency support, and integrations including Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe, Ramp, Brex and Rippling (Rillet).
An AI-native ERP is a general ledger and finance system built with automation and AI agents in its core, rather than added to an older ERP. So a true Rillet alternative is, first, another place to keep your books. That matters, because many teams searching for one are not unhappy with their ledger at all.
Why do PE-backed teams evaluate a new ledger differently?
Because the sponsor, the auditor and a future buyer all have to trust the numbers, and a ledger switch touches all three.
- Sponsor reporting: the monthly pack runs on a fixed calendar. Paul Reading of Accordion, a PE-focused advisory firm, writes from his time as an operating partner that "credibility evaporates if numbers arrive late or don't reconcile" (Accordion, February 2026). Our guide to what operating partners expect in a monthly reporting pack covers the pack itself.
- Audit: opening balances, history and evidence must carry across. A mid-year switch puts two systems inside one audit year.
- Exit: buyers and quality of earnings providers ask for transaction-level detail, often across several years. Plan how history will be exported before you migrate.
- Add-on acquisitions: if the sponsor plans add-ons, ask each vendor to show you onboarding a new entity on your data, rather than relying on a feature list.
Do you need a new ledger, or a better close?
Start by naming the problem. The answer splits the market in two.
Replace the ledger if your chart of accounts cannot produce what the sponsor asks for, revenue recognition lives in spreadsheets outside the system, or you have outgrown a small-business ledger. Rillet and the ERPs in the next section compete here.
Keep the ledger and fix the close if the general ledger is sound but reconciliations, checklists, flux review and audit support eat the month. Close tools connect to the ERP you already run. FloQast, for example, says it "integrates with your ERP to streamline your close" and is "ERP-agnostic," and it names NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Xero, SAP and Workday among the ERPs it works with (FloQast).
Whichever side you land on, use the same scorecard:

- Ledger scope: does it replace the general ledger, or connect to the one you have?
- Audit evidence: can an auditor trace an automated entry to its source rows, rule and approver without a screen share?
- Sponsor reporting: can it produce the sponsor's pack with drill-down to transactions?
- Migration timing: what history comes across, how long is the parallel run, and can you switch without splitting an audit year?
- Add-on readiness: can the vendor show a new entity being onboarded on your data?
- Data exit: can you export full general ledger detail and the audit log, for diligence or for leaving?
- Total cost: the quote, implementation fees and your team's internal hours.

Which Rillet alternatives replace the ledger?
Each line below uses the vendor's own description or a named source. Verify current capabilities in a demo on your data.
- Campfire: describes itself as "the AI-native ERP built for lean finance teams," with "one platform for general ledger, revenue, reporting, and close management" (Campfire). It raised a $65 million Series B co-led by Accel and Ribbit in October 2025 (FinTech Global).
- DualEntry: calls itself "AI-native ERP software for the mid market," built "for multi-entity, multi-book, multi-currency accounting." It announced a $90 million Series A led by Lightspeed and Khosla Ventures on October 2, 2025, and says its migration service can get teams live "in 24 hours" (DualEntry).
- Digits: launched what it calls "the world's first AI-driven Autonomous General Ledger" in March 2025, sold self-serve to startups and small businesses (CPA Practice Advisor). That launch targeted an earlier stage than most PE-backed portfolio companies.
- Oracle NetSuite: RSM, a NetSuite implementation partner, describes it as a cloud ERP covering financial management, inventory management and CRM, with NetSuite OneWorld for multiple subsidiaries, currencies and countries (RSM).
- Sage Intacct: a cloud financial management suite covering general ledger, accounts payable, cash management, reporting and project accounting, as described by Sage partner DSD Business Systems (DSD).
Which alternatives keep your current ledger?
These tools sit on top of an existing ERP and target the close itself.
- FloQast: close management that "integrates with your ERP" and runs workflows on the data the ERP holds (FloQast).
- Numeric: "The data platform for finance teams," with a close checklist for people and AI agents, flux analysis and automatic balance sheet reconciliation; it says it "integrates with NetSuite and other ERPs" (Numeric).
- BlackLine: a cloud platform "for financial close, account reconciliation, and intercompany accounting automation," listed as an ERP add-on for mid-market and enterprise companies, with connectors including NetSuite, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage Intacct and Acumatica (ERP Research).

Where does Yoraito fit?
Yoraito is SQL-first, auditable AI for bank reconciliation, invoice processing, Excel automation, compliance checks and the financial close. It is built around one test that applies whichever option you choose: every number the AI produces should come with the source rows, the rule and the SQL behind it, so a controller or an auditor can re-run it and get the same answer. Yoraito is currently in early access through a waitlist.
How do you prove a ledger migration tied out?
Whatever you pick, run at least one full close in both systems before you rely on the new one. The query below lists every account where the two trial balances disagree for the parallel-run period. Zero rows means the migration tied. If the chart of accounts changed, join through your account mapping table first.
-- Parallel-run tie-out: accounts where old and new trial balances differ
WITH old_tb AS (
SELECT account_number, balance FROM legacy_trial_balance WHERE period = '2026-09'
),
new_tb AS (
SELECT account_number, balance FROM new_trial_balance WHERE period = '2026-09'
)
SELECT
COALESCE(o.account_number, n.account_number) AS account_number,
COALESCE(o.balance, 0) AS legacy_balance,
COALESCE(n.balance, 0) AS new_balance,
COALESCE(n.balance, 0) - COALESCE(o.balance, 0) AS difference
FROM old_tb o
FULL OUTER JOIN new_tb n ON n.account_number = o.account_number
WHERE COALESCE(n.balance, 0) <> COALESCE(o.balance, 0)
ORDER BY ABS(COALESCE(n.balance, 0) - COALESCE(o.balance, 0)) DESC;
Save the result with the run date. Your auditor will ask how opening balances in the new system were supported, and a zero-row result against a named snapshot answers it. The PBC list guide shows where that evidence lands in year-end requests, and the AI audit trail checklist lists what an automated entry should record after go-live.
FAQ
Is Rillet a NetSuite replacement?
Rillet positions itself as one: its 2025 Series B release called it "a full replacement for legacy ERPs." Whether it replaces NetSuite for you depends on what you use beyond finance, such as inventory management or CRM, which RSM lists among NetSuite's functions. Map the modules you use before comparing.
How much does Rillet cost?
Rillet does not publish list pricing. Ask every vendor on your shortlist for a written quote that includes implementation, then add your team's internal hours for the migration and parallel run.
How long does it take to switch ERPs?
Vendor claims vary widely. DualEntry says its migration service can get teams live in 24 hours, and Rillet's 2025 Series B release described implementations as fast as four weeks. Whatever the setup time, plan for at least one parallel close before you rely on the new system.
Do we need a new ERP to speed up the close?
Not necessarily. FloQast, Numeric and BlackLine all connect to existing ERPs, so a slow close on a sound ledger can often be fixed without migrating.
When should a PE-backed company switch ledgers?
At a period boundary, ideally the start of a fiscal year, and not during audit fieldwork or a sale process. A year that lives in one system is much easier to support in an audit or a diligence review.
What is the next step?
Write down the three things that hurt most in your current close. If they are about the ledger itself, shortlist ERPs and run the scorecard above. If they are about reconciliations, review and evidence, shortlist close tools first and keep your ledger. To hear when Yoraito opens up, join the waitlist.
